PostSubject: Peace to Bajor – Knock Knock   Sat Jan 30, 2010 4:03 am

The Tanmesad entered into high orbit above Bajor. T’Zohl looked at the Bajoran sun rise and wondered what was next for the Tanmesad. Bringing a message of peace to Bajor was one thing but having the message come from the a Cardassian is quite another.

Vash Enranet does not have the best reputation. He kept the Lyun twins as concubines. He slept with Dr. Ro Anora. Now he is being asked to be voice of peace. Vash Enranet served as the executive officer on Platform 1968. The Cardassian Research Platform has its own spectre of history.

Worse yet, the Second officer on the Tanmesad commanded that very “Frankenstein’s Castle”, Gul Thua’ra Varno. Now these men are being asked to help bridge a peace between of the ministry of Elim Garak and the Bajoran Republic.

The Vulcan was dealing with her own issues as well. The recent actions of the Vulcan High Command have left Vulcans serving around the known worlds in a terrible mess. Though the senior leadership of the Tanmesad had little or no issues with the gifted pilot, many in the service group treated her differently.

To make matters worse, T’Zohl was dealing with the actions of one propulsion specialist turned stalker, Sydney Love. T’Zohl brought the Tanmesad into position and prepared to make contact with the Bajoran Consulate.

She turned around, “We are in position now, sir.”

Vash took a deep breath. This was going to be a difficult time. This was a new face of Cardassia. Even moreso than the first time that Minister Garak assumed the mantle of power, Cardassia and in particular the Hebetian movement, the movement needs to succeed. There is no chance for an eternity of the artistic grace of the Hebetian movement without success here.

Vash turned to Tania, “Commander Branson, I would prefer that you serve as the first contact liaison.”

“Chicken.”, Tania mocked.

Vash did not quite understand the reference to the earthbound fowl. Tania prepared to contact the Bajoran Consolate. She turned to Valerie, “Make the call.”

Valerie turned back, “Contact has been established.”

“My name is Commander Tania Branson of the USS / CGV Tanmesad. I am here to establish formal relations with the Republic of Bajor for the Second Republic of Cardassia.”, Tania spoke with prominence and grace.

There was a very long pause.

“This is Vedek Haron of the Bajoran Consulate. We do not wish to establish relations with the Second Republic of Cardassia.”, Haron responded.

The communication closed. Valerie tried to pick it up again and again but there was nothing. Nothing at all.

T’Zohl looked at Vash, “Should we return to Cardassia?”

Vash looked around the bridge, “We have a mission, Commander T’Zohl. It appears it will not be an easy one but we have a mission. We are not going anywhere.”
