The Tanmesad moved from the Klingon Incident into high orbit. Valerie looked down at the Ops Console. She put the image on the main screen. Forces loyal to Minister Garak had busted through the wall in West Lakaria and were now in East Lakaria. The speaking engagement by Minister Garak was a necessary diversion to keep the humble tailor out of the capital should the offensive go poorly.

The Tanmesad too played a role. The approach made to the House of Olarg was the last stand of the Detapa Council. The destruction of the lead vessel near Cardassia III made it impossible for the Detapa Council to form an alliance with the renegade House of Olarg leaving the Detapa Council losing and demoralized.

Vash brought the members of the Cardassian Guard from the Marine barracks up to the bridge to watch as the Detapa Council surrendered for a final time. Vash turned to Tania. He could barely contain his smile as he watched with great joy. Many Cardassians clapped. Tania looked at Vash. She knew how much this meant to him.

Commander T'Zohl, who had served on the Tanmesad with Cardassian Rank for over a year, stood up and walked back to stand with the Cardassians. This was a great time. This was a great victory.

The image of Minister Garak getting out of the shuttle was one of great joy in Lakarian City. Many had endured great pain under the Detapa regime. Vash smiled as the humble tailor emerged the conquering hero. Cardassians came out of their home, many crying and waving flags of the Hebetian history trumpeted by Elim Garak. They were no longer evil Cardassians, they, like him, were humble Hebetians. Hebetians are artists, storytellers, poets and citizens of the universe.

Valerie put the voice of Legate Portus on the main audio, "Stand down, Mr. Enranet. Liberation is complete."

Vash smiled, "Yes, sir."

Vash looked at Valerie who shutdown the weapon systems. Vash turned to his staff, "Well done!"

The staff vacated the bridge. New orders will come in soon.
