T'Zohl entered the incredibly decorated Observation Lounge. Galley Leo had done a remarkable job. The dining lounge would have rivalled any of the great Christmas hall of colonies throughout the known worlds. Caitians do not celebrate Christmas but Galley did all this for Jessamine. Ms. Larsen was so far from home. Galley truly loved his co-chef. Her joy at seeing his achievement was worth the countless hours of effort.

The joy was enough to fill the haul of the Tanmesad currently tormented by the sorrow of the split of Lakaria City. The mood of Gul Enranet has filled the Tanmesad with the dark spectre of the "Grinch". T'Zohl watched her very core warm wih the spirit of the room. Her Vulcan logical mind told her that there was no meaning in the bizarre worship of an unproven diety or in the bizarre sharing of gifts in tribute to some red suited old man but the spirit within that lounge was immeasurable and the warmth unexplainable.

T'Zohl watched as even Tchilick sat with Autumn and shared a Kanar and laughed with a joy that could only come from the room and spirit of Christmas that filled the room. Mark and the new doctor Pacquella Larson entered the room and were overwhelmed. Marcella walked in with her parents. It was as if the spirit of Christmas itself had been rushed aboard the Tanmesad. The little girl rushed over to the tree. Galley walked out and looked at the new member of the Tanmesad family. He looked down and gave her a small gift. As Marcella opened the gift, a small toy, a tear entered her eye. For Galley, it made it all worth it.

Valerie and Charlene walked in with Valerie's two girls. Galley looked surprised to see them. Their recent troubles were known throughout he Tanmesad. Galley was frantic as he gave a gift to Janerica. He was however not expecting either girl. He was in trouble.

Commander T'Zohl looked over at Galley frantically trying to decide what to do. He looked down and saw a gift from the Caitain to her. She picked it up and discreetly removed the tag. She looked at little Lyris walked over and handed her the gift. Lyris opened the gift to find a gorgeous Vulcan meditation glass. T'Zohl looked at the gift. It was so beautiful. Lyris looked at her mother, "Look a dolly dish."

T'Zohl gasped at the Vulcan icon being referred to as a dish. Galley looked to her and gave a half smile.

T'Zohl looked down at the little girl, "Merry Christmas Lyris."

The crew of the Tanmesad understood the gesture. The spirit of Christmas was aboard the ship once more.

"Merry Christmas, Commander T'Zohl.", the little girl looked up.

Vulcan logic told her that they were just words, but in her heart on this ship, she knew they are something far, far more.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night...
