Valerie was planning the thanksgiving dinner. She and Galley Leo had been going over the plans and she was going to set up the side dishes to serve with Galley's fantastic Turkey. Val wanted it to be incredible. She was already sampling things even though it was nearly a month away. She wanted sweet yams, cranberries, the whole chabang.

She went over the replicator and tapped the buttons, nothing happened. She spoke the words, "Turkey Dinner"

Nothing happened.

She contacted engineering, "Carson, is something wrong with the replicators?"

"Geez, is everyone complaining tonight?", Carson whined.

Vash walked into engineer, "Commander, is there something wrong with the replicators?"

Vash had planned a fine meal for him and his Capri. The Captain had not been able to prepare the meal.

Carson crawled over the rail and into the Replication Reactor, "I don't know, the Dormant Omega was supposed to last for all eternity. We should have used real Omega, damn Covington."

Carson crawled out, "We will have re-route some power to these replicators. We are gonna have to ration it."

"What about the dinner?", Valerie asked.

"I don't think we should prepare food for the entire crew in a single event. If each member prepares his or her own meal, it will not stress the equipment but a big meal prepared all at once will be too much strain and put other systems at risk.", Carson cautioned.

Valerie and Michael left sombre. Vash left sombre.

Carson went to work to make sure there would at least be breakfast, even though most of us were not going to get supper.

Vash and Capri went to the Observation Lounge where everyone was talking about rationing the replicator time. Everyone was very worried.

Galley and Jessie heard the complaints. They immediately set to work.

Vash and Capri came to the Observation Lounge in the morning to find fresh eggs and the smell of bacon filling the Lounge. Vash looked at Galley, "How the hell did you do this?"

"Can't you follow orders?", Vash snapped.

"All this is for you?", Galley smiled.

"How?", Vash looked puzzled.

Galley took Vash by the hand and led him into Food Storage Bay VII. In the storage bay was dirt, layers of gardens and chickens. Chickens!! Jessie was sprinkling chopped barley to chickens.

"What the hell is this?", Vash explained.

"If we cannot use the replicators, dammit, we will still have great food.", Galley snapped back.

Vash hugged him, "Eggs, Sunny Side Up."

Galley smiled, "Yes, Sir."
