Normally, the Tanmesad would wait for day shift to leave, sometime after 0730 but with the target of this portion of the Diplomatic Mission being Klingon, Vash had arranged for a 0600 am launch. The Gul had done this on purpose so Colonel Laphe would be able to take the ship out with him, Branson or anyone else there.

Having a Klingon in the Captain's Chair for the launch would be a special event worthy of discussion once they get to the Klingon homeworld. Colonel Laphe smiled, "Take her out Marissa."

Crewman Lyun smiled and turned the Tanmesad from high orbit into the wake of space and started to head for the Klingon homeworld.

Sasha came walking in as the ship began to take on power. She went over and leaned against her Klingon mate, slowly rubbing her fingers on his chest.

"A Klingon at the head of a Cardassian Vessel bringing a message of alliance to the homeworld. That bares a toast in the Lounge later.", Laphe roared as he announced the beginning of the next phase of the mission.

Vash and T'Zohl came on to the bridge for the shift change. The Colonel turned to the Gul, very grateful for the opportunity to bring the ship about and take her out for the travel to Klingon. He pounded his chest in salute. Vash smiled and nodded, "Easy, Colonel. This may not go well."

"We have no idea the reception the Hebetian Government will receive from the Klingon Command.", Vash explained.

T'Zohl and Marissa were discussing travel as T'Zohl sat down at the helm. T'Zohl and Carson then exchanged across the COMM link regarding engine function. Carson explained that quote "Needed to dust the carbon off."

T'Zohl did not get the joke, being Vulcan and all. The Tanmesad runs on a matter-anti-matter exchange. There is no carbon.

Tania walked on to the bridge. She looked at Vash, still very upset over his decision to destroy the Romulan vessel. She looked out at the viewer.

"I showed up, now I am going back to bed.", Commander Branson replied sharply.

Vash laughed, but Tania was not laughing. She thought his actions were brash and arrogant versus the Romulans. She had thought that he had begun to change, to grow to be more Federation like but in the end, he was what she thought he was. Cardassian!
